For many of us, the end of the year is all about good times with those that matter the most. It’s easy to forget the unseen struggles of others. This is exactly when you’re needed the most.
The Christmas season is a hotbed for social issues that fortunately most of us never have to worry about. Scam awareness, mental health challenges, excessive drinking, and women’s safety are just some of the issues people face over the holiday period.
Whether it be walking worries on dark nights or vulnerable drinkers, making people aware of the dangers and offering help can make a real difference. Over the last five Christmas periods, almost 5,000 drink driving-related collisions have been recorded in November and December alone.*
We’re no strangers to the challenges that come with supporting vulnerable people. Our charity “Cash for Kids” raised over £20 million just this last year alone and supported almost half a million vulnerable children.
