Cash for Kids – Sports Challenge 2024 

Cash for Kids is the official charity of Bauer Media. We’re dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK from the moment they’re born up to the age of 18. 

The Cash for Kids Sports Challenge is here to help disadvantaged children and young people get active and get involved in sport.​ Due to their circumstances, opportunities can often be limited, so we’re looking for local and community sports teams, clubs and groups to take part in this unique fundraising competition.​ Teams will fundraise as much as they can, with the top three fundraisers winning additional top-up grants.​ 

Everyone will receive back what they raise, to provide equipment and training, improve facilities, or help those with additional needs to take part. 

How we’ve helped 

Our latest Cash for Kids drive took place on Thursday 2nd May (Cash for Kids Day 2024). A huge £1,004,030 was raised across the UK to support 182,551 children who could go hungry during the summer holidays. Because of this, Cash for Kids are able to make a real difference to the children and young people who need their help the most, and put food on the table during the summer holidays.  

How Your Business Can Join In This Time 

Headline partner packages 

The Sports Challenge Partner will play a key role in raising awareness and generating sign-ups for the campaign. Your brand will be core to every stage of our multi-channel activity on-air, online and on social media. 

  • 3-week on-air campaign 

Two weeks starting on Monday 1st July, dual-branded recruitment trails featuring your name and 10-word tag will encourage groups to sign-up. Then a week of celebration trails will run once the winner has been chosen – between 7th and 21st October (specific local date TBC). 

  • Engaging listeners 

The airtime will showcase the benefits of the Challenge and highlight our combined commitment to improving access to sport for local children. 

Digital Marketing 

  • Website Branding 

Logo, copy and link to your website hosted on the Sports Challenge feature page on the radio station website. 

  • Homepage Takeover 

Logo on a one week-long homepage takeover on the station website homepage (branded for and linking to Sports Challenge). 

  • Email Marketing 

Brand inclusion with logo, tagline and key messaging on two Sports Challenge emails to the station listener database. 

  • Social Media 

Logo and @tag on native Sports Challenge Facebook and Instagram posts – minimum six posts during the campaign (charity pages, radio brand pages where available)*.
