Children from disadvantaged backgrounds often face limited opportunities to participate in sports. We’re reaching out to local and community sports teams, clubs, and groups to participate in this unique fundraising competition, with the aim of involving more of these children in sport.
Sports groups, teams, and clubs can register online through the radio station website, providing details about how they positively impact local disadvantaged and disabled children. Eligible groups will then have four weeks to raise as much funds as possible. The top three fundraisers will be rewarded with additional top-up grants of £5,000 (1st place), £2,500 (2nd place), and £1,500 (3rd place). Moreover, every participant will receive back 100% of what they raise.
